To achieve its objectives, FIP BLUES carries out actions such as training fishermen and workers in the sector, creating good practice guides, and collaborating with research and management bodies to assess and monitor fishery resources. It also works to inform seafarers about their social rights in order to ensure their welfare and improve their working conditions.

The project, which initially started with the Atlantic stocks, is currently in the pre-assessment and definition phase of the action plan for the Western and Central Pacific Ocean stocks, as well as for the Indian Ocean. We are therefore initiating a new monitoring period that will allow us to evaluate compliance with the objectives set, taking into account both environmental and social performance.
